In my opinion, Solid Snake is a must-have figure for military themed collections. The best part is that he can easily crossover with the world of GI Joe. In this photo, he has just infiltrated a Cobra submarine base.

When I first saw the original version of the tan Duke figure I thought how similar he would look to Snake if he were repainted, so that's what I did. The outfit sculpt isn't totally accurate to the video games, but it looks like something he might wear on one of his missions. For his head, I stuck with his look from the first Metal Gear Solid game, since the original Duke sculpt already had short hair. I painted in a 5 o'clock shadow on his face. For the waistpiece, I had to really, really carve out the inside of it so that the paint on the legs wouldn't scrape off in movement.
