One of the original members of the Tele-Viper Corps, Shortwave has been in the employ of Cobra for years. He has completed combat ops against the J.O.E. Team in theaters around the world, even once wiring in direct communication to Cobra Island from a badly damaged Cobra submarine in the North Atlantic. Its not certain what orders were given during that brief contact, but Shortwave was the only survivor of the incident.

Shortwave is currently assigned to the NOVA(Night Operations, Vehicle Assault) Vipers. He acts as both the Comms expert and as the Commander's personal representative to this newly formed unit.
