Unlike many who join Cobra, Young was not a Veteran. He was however an angry youth disillusioned at the American Dream. He had watched as his beloved country tore itself apart from with in. He watched as fringe groups gained power and forced anyone who didn't think like them to cower in fear. The minority ruling the majority. This was not what he had been taught growing up.

When he found Cobra he was enchanted with the ideas of taking the country back the country for the working man. He signed on and never looked back.
