Elite Units always take care of their own. The Joe's are no exception. Lifeline found out that EMS personnel lost their benefits if they where injured giving care off duty. This revelation sparked his decision to join the Army as a corpsman. He feels that medics are never "off duty" it's a constant state that keeps the balance of Life and Death in the favor of those in need. While at time his personal devotion to pacifist and non violent action wear on his team mates at times. They rest assured that when the time comes, come Hell or high water Lifeline will pull them through.

personal note:
my personal adaption of Lifeline as a charcter in my verse is very similar to Vash and Nick from Trigun, taking some from each, as a foil to him I figure the Other or Life-Line would take the other personality traits I don't use for this one.
