Maul was a survival expert before joining the Joe team. He grew up in the wilderness, and while he can survive in any climate/locale, he feels most at home in the woods. Give him a full pack, and he can disappear for months at a time. He's familiar with most heavy weaponry, but doesn't mind exercising his hands as he learned to fight by grappling with bears in the wild.

"I'd never want to have to track Maul once he's chosen somewhere to camp. I'd have to keep my distance due to traps he'd lay, and his ability to spray bullets with incredible accuracy, but if I got in close, he'd very likely wrestle me to the ground after dropping on me from behind. It's a good thing he's teaching survival to us and not our enemies."
