I've always dug Crankcase. he was a cool looking figure with a cool rifle and came with a cool vehicle. I wanted to expand his role in my collection and include him in assortments in later years, so this figure was designed to fit with my '89 assortment of figures.
One of the cool things about this character is that his bio set him up to be so much more than just a vehicle driver. though he'd look right at home co-piloting the Raider, Thunderclap or manning the Tri-Blaster, he could have also worked as a single carded figure.
