Black Rider is the latest bounty hunter to be employed by Cobra. He is an avid collector of western memorabilia and tends to dress the part. He even researched his family's genealogy and found out that he was a direct ancestor of Billy the Kid! Originally Black Rider was an insurance salesman in the Phoenix area. He was actually selling fake policies and scamming the company he worked for to fund his very expensive cocaine habit. But his life changed when he tried selling one of his policies to Fred XXIV. When Cobra came to collect, he wormed his way out of a death sentence when he asked to work off his debt. He said that he could bring in whoever owed Cobra even a cent! Cobra Commander took him up on his promise and he has been a Cobra employee ever since.
