Not all humans served under the Space Rangers Program. In fact thousands were ardently against it. They criticized them for being corrupt, manipulative and insensitive to the plight of common people they served. Among the defiant renegades were the French Pirates de L'espace. They were the enemies of Captain Cosmos, the French's equivalent to the Action Man Space Rangers in their corner of space.

Armed with their space suits, sidearms and laser rifles, they plundered and stole from ship and planet alike. All pirates did not get along. They were known to get into scuffles with the likes of Captain Zargon and his Zargonite crew among other pirates of the time. One of these Pirates de L'espace, going by the codename Sawbone, is one such enemy of Captain Zargon. For the mission he has been set upon, however, he must work alongside the old alien pirate whether he likes him or not.
