Cinder Blocks, paint and a carving tool.

This is my first custom diorama. I'm on a budget so destroyed buildings are a tough one. I took broken cinder blocks and painted them brick red, Carved out the brick lines with a box knife. I highly recommend a better carving tool. You can chisel in to any shape with a pick and hammer. Remember to wear safety glasses. You can paint them however you like. This is my first of many to come. And there's my custom Mortal Kombat Scorpion and sub-zero fighting in the background.
