This is Castle Destro, the North American home base for the Iron Grenadiers operations. This Castle is outfitted with Destro's Weather Cannon on the top and many stolen parts from the Terror Drome. It is fortified with launching missles on the top and a gatling gun on the side. Here Destro meets with his generals and family to plot the destruction of GI Joe and his hostile take over of Cobra.

I created this piece for several reasons. First in an effort to restore my own Death Star I ended up with a lot of pieces and almost had another one minus the card board pieces, several support beams and a working ion cannon. Upon close review of the structure I noticed it looked a lot like a castle and very little like a space station. Then I realized the Hasbro has never produced a base of operations for Destro (the coolest of Cobras) and so I set out to do it. I created my own inserts from manila folders and they fit in the spot perfectly. I created a usable space on the third story and made the ground floor into a vehicle pool. This is the ultimate power in the GI Joe Universe. I created a Europeon version which I will photograph and post later.
