Original 1982 Vamp mark I. Rear seat gunner station made from Triple T tank seat, VAMP gun turret, and modified grenade gun from Power Team Elite (original was single barrel). Repainted vehicle to closer resemblance to color in comic.

I was reading the reissue of GI Joe comic #30 from the 25th Dreadnok comic pack. In the comic is a VAMP version with a gunner's seat behind the rear gun station. I started thinking, I could make that. I had always felt that the VAMP should have a rear gunner.

I had a left over chassis from a Triple T tank (which I had shopped for other parts) and cut out the seat. I left the center part and control stick to mount the gun on. The machine gun was single barrel, I cut the barrels off of two guns, drilled two holes in the gun body for the barrels to mount to. After epoxying the two barrels back onto the gun and drilling a mounting hole I painted the gun flat black.

I repainted an original 82 VAMP Mark I and reapplied the old decals. The only thing I need to complete the image from the comic is a Clutch to man the gun, a Scarlett to ride shotgun and a Hawk to drive...yep, Hawk was driving the Vamp in issue #30 of the comic.
