For years, the B.A.T. has served the role of a 'fire and forget' weapon. Simply point them in the right direction and take cover, allowing them to march ahead and wreak havoc over the battlefield. The 'HeavyArm' modification sought to give them a little extra staying power, by simply outfitting the unit with heavier armor over its vital areas. Hydraulic modifications to its appendages where added to compensate for the additional weight of the armor. Despite the prospect of a B.A.T that could last longer and thus decrease the required numbers on the battlefield, the bean-counters within Cobra nixed the idea before it got very far. Unfortunately, Overkill doesn't share the same attitudes toward fiscal restraint. Generally outfitted with the 'Hailfire' dual-gattling cannon, these monsters march across the battlefeild cutting down everything in their path.

"These tin cans are enough of a pain as-is...how the heck could a little bit of armor make them WORSE? "

Like the Python Eel before him, this guy had been assembled for quite some time. I built him around the time of the Liberty expansion, but he was abandoned and left homeless when interest was lost. Up until now. Tried thinking up good reasons to have a BAT with that bulky kibble and the legs, eventually the 'HeavyArms' idea came up and the bio practically wrote itself. I decided to go with/attempt the old-school colors to reflect the idea that these are just modified BATs. I cobbled together the heavy weapon in about 2 hours, simply by dremmeling down a launcher missile, drilling a hole in gun barrel, and sliding it in. The launcher is still functional.
