Greg D. Scott was a member of the Steel Brigade and also an engineer working on the new robotic battle suits for the US military. While testing the new neural interface system with the prototype armor, Destro's forces attempted to raid the laboratory complex/ Scott was injured while still connected to the prototype armor system. His neural network was imprinted into the armor, making him the only one able to utilize the armor.

The helmet and the silver overwash were last minute additions.Originally he was going to be black with the bronze accents. I was going to add just a bit of silver weathering to the chest but it ended up being too thick. I liked how it looked and decided to do the whole thing. I was looking through my bag of spare helmets and find that the Trakker helmet matched color-wise really well.
