I had this one as a secondary idea for my other figure I didn't get to complete, WW2 MindBender. I was talking about the project with Lace, I mean Lance. He was going to do Breaker as a telegraph operator back in the 1860s and it dawned on me that Clutch as a stagecoach driver would be sweet. Finding the pieces for this one wasn't too hard, beyond picking out a good head. I thought the rugged, worn, look of the Mercer v2 head would make a great Clutch. I sanded down his beard, painted his hair greasy black with some sunned in brown and gave him an unshaven look. I originally was working on using TrackViper arms for him, but decided the gloves looked more old style on the WORMS. The lower half was an instant pick. The pistol sidearm and boots were a must. I dyed them in a brown and black mix bath to get that brown color. In the dyeing process, the silver beltbuckle ended up coming out a brassy color; extra bonus. I did get a little warpage in the thighs, which seems to be my downfall at dyeing. Getting the blue to be the right shade and coverage was a pain, but I think it works nicely for his shirt. I sent him on to Lance to get Clutch pictured up with Breaker and the sweet Coach that he doctored up. I tweaked his bio up to look like a newspaper clipping.
