Not every threat is military. Seeing this, President Sandecker, former Navy Admiral and Head of NUMA, realized the need to resurrect the Adventure Team. Operatives were selected across the board from various government and civilian agencies. Not wanting to take Spirit from the Joe team, orders were issued to find an experienced tracker for the Adventure Team. After an extensive search the name John "Thunderbird" Whitefeather kept popping up. The only problem was that no one knew where to find him. Whitefeather had served three tours in the Army before returning back home. Coming from a family of 'Windtalkers" it was vital he be found. After a long search he was found working in a drug rehab center on a reservation out in Oklahoma. He agreed to join up taking on his old code name of Thunderbird.
