An ex-SEAL and Chief-Veterinarian at the San Diego National Zoo, Dr Link Talbot occasionally works with GI Joe. In his role as a "combat consultant", he helped the Joes battle Cobra numerous times. When GI Joe Intelligence learned that Dr Mindbender had restarted his venomization research, this time using dinosaur DNA, Hawk called on Talbot to serve on the GI Joe Dino Hunter squad.

When planning which team members to make, Link Talbot was a no-brainer. Dino Hunters is probably one of the only projects in which Talbot's inclusion makes sense. I wanted to keep his look faithful to his VvV days. However, I replaced the bright colors with more subdued camouflage. For the head, I thought of simply dremeling the original, but it's pretty small. So I decided on the RoC Ripcord head.
