Some might say that the only thing worse than being the child of a stationed soldier on a military base - is being the child of a civilian that lives near a military base. The son of an insurance salesman, BLAST PROOF spent most of his formative years being teased and bullied by military brats. Juvenile justice records show that as a teen, BLAST PROOF rebelled against his family and took part in petty crimes. It is believed that one of those crimes involved defacing a truck belong to ARBCO Moving - a cover for the terrorist organization Cobra. Taken in by Cobra, BLAST PROOF slowly worked his way up through the ranks, from FRAG VIPER, to HEAT VIPER, to Commander of the FAST BLAST VIPERS. Expert in most hand held anti-tank weapons.

"Fearless is a pretty good description of the guy. It takes guts to carry a rocket launcher up to an enemy tank and pull the trigger. I've seen him take on a piece of anti-aircraft artillery with a handfull of grenades and an empty mortar shell. He took out the artillery and still had some grenades left over." - Scrap Iron

There is something exciting about building a custom from random parts. It's the anticipation of wondering if you can make a cohesive figure from donated (and usually unwanted) parts.

With this custom, I attempted something that I've wanted to do for a long while - take a v1 HEAT Viper head and make both halves symetrical. While not perfect, I think that it was a good first effort.

I also gave my new set of microfiles a workout on the torso - removing the crossing straps from the Blaster torso as well as the belt. A little dremal work took care of the gun mount on the Repeater torso.

The great Maurader John weapon (that he donated for the coN) really fit with the parts I received.
