COBRA MOUNTAIN WARFARE COMMANDER
Code Name: LANDSLIDE
File Name: Unknown
Primary Military Specialty: Mountain Warfare
Secondary Military Specialty: Survival Instructor
Birthplace: Unknown

--------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------

The Rock Viper training regimen was, in its infancy, among the more brutal of Cobra's combat instruction programs. Landslide graduated at the top of the first class of Cobra troops to undergo the training, and rose through the Rock-Viper ranks to command this specialized division of the Cobra ground forces. Needless to say, with him in charge, the training regimen has since become even MORE harsh. Candidates are now required to make the requisite 500-foot descent of a sheer-sided mesa at the end of the program without rope and under live fire.

Has ascended the Seven Summits (all 8 peaks to complete both lists) as well as the Seven Second Summits, and is well-traveled in the worlds many mountainous regions. Fluent in several Eastern European languages, as well as a handful of Central Asian languages. Pre-Cobra military training appears to have been East-European, with cross-training in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the East African Highlands. Also a successful graduate of the Snow Serpent and Bushmaster specialized training programs. Qualified expert: KG-9, AK-47/74 family, RDT-7 assault rifle, RPG-7 grenade launcher

"Landslide has an ego big enough to dwarf most of those mountains he's always climbing. Vain...often fancies himself as one of the old Greek Olympian gods, looking down upon the world from on high. It's difficult to say whether he's always engaged in PT to stay fit enough to endure the rigors of his job, or because he just likes showing off for himself in the mirror."

Done in about 2.5 hours in one sitting. No spray paint used (all brush- or pin-applied). It had been so long since I had used my Citadel paints I had to resurrect them from near solidity (let's hear it for thinning-with-water!). Only heavy modification was the removal of the stars from the Tomahawk hat. Accessories came from my parts bin. Left the peg on the right leg intact specifically for use as a weapon holder.

The rope around the torso was the key characteristic that stuck with me when I got the parts assembled for the first time. It pretty much said "climber" to me, so I went with that motif. Although I'm not a huge fan of Rock-Vipers these days, I figured they could at least stand to have a unique commanding officer.
