Darius Jackson was a wannabe rapper living on the streets of Brooklyn. Known as D. Jack, he had made a name for himself with his fast wit and faster tongue. Watching his father get arrested was enough to keep D. Jack from engaging in any illegal activities. His mother being shot as an innocent bystander during a driveby was enough to motivate D. Jack to make a stand in the city. His visibilty in the local clubs and on the streets rapping has earned him quite a local following, but has also kept him in view of his enemies. He has helped many residents find safety in numbers and has become a mentor for dozens of kids.

When Cobra began recruiting for help against G.I. Joe, they tried to reach as many as they could. But with the citizens of the inner cities having problems of their own, the troubles of G.I. Joe and Cobra were not something they could be bothered with. As Cobra recruiters were hard at work in Brooklyn one day, they came across D. Jack rapping on the streets. He had a large crowd around him cheering him on with smiles on their faces. The recruiters listened in and heard rhymes of hope and inspiration coming from the young man. It was then they set their goals to recruiting D. Jack.

Reluctant at first, D. Jack did not trust these outsiders who promised him a better life. He refused to leave his people behind or to get them involved in a war that would not benefit them. Cobra promised D. Jack that they will convince the government to invest millions of dollars into the cities. D. Jack knows he can't trust the government but he also knows it is a chance he can't afford to take. D. Jack agreed to help Cobra with the understanding that they will help with the problems in the inner cities when this war with G. I. Joe is over. They also promised to aquire him a record contract so he can spread his words of inspiration over the airwaves.

D. Jack now acts as a recruiter in the inner cities and he is Cobra's main contact to the underground. He was given the codename of Alley Viper in all official Cobra documents to protect his identity if those documents ever fall into the wrong hands.

This was the first figure I got finished when I agreed to this GP. I was going for the look of really baggy clothes. I hope this was accomplished. The Duke arms looked great with the baggy sleeves but they were way too long. So I trimmed them down in length and added the Zartan hands so it looks like he has on batting gloves. I didn't want him to have on an official uniform after the bio I came up for him.
