Top Secret COBRA and DOD intercepts reveal the existence of a secret cabal of high-tech assassins are currently under the employ of the United States Government with ties to COBRA. Although their existence has never been confirmed it is believed that the Night Creepers hail from a long thought extinct ninja clan. Recently rumors of the clan's re-emergence and allegiance to COBRA have taken root in the international terrorist community as high ranking thugs, murders, and extortionists have been found mysteriously decapitated or gone missing all together.

The Night Creepers were introduced to Cobra Commander by Storm Shadow as a means of accomplishing missions that were too dirty to be "on the books." Centuries ago the Night Creeper clan was a rival of the Arishakage Clan and were thought wiped clean from the Earth during one of the Arishakage purges. They have mysteriously resurfaced utilizing ancient ninja martial arts techniques coupled with the latest technology.

I loved the original Night Creeper and the concept of high-tech ninjas. However, the original design and accessories lack any elements that I would call high-tech. I wanted my Mirror Universe Night Creeper to have a more modern look but still have the requisite ninja elements. I went with the Barricade chest because I though it was a nice homage to the original Night Creeper armor. The Snake Eyes arms and Firefly feet added just the right amount of "ninja" to the design. You can't have a Night Creeper without goggles, so I modified the Sand Viper night visions goggles for the finishing touch. The Barricade chest is a little bulkier than I would have liked, but overall I am pleased with the design.
