Thrasher

Thrasher was born on an ore mining station in the orbit of Mars. Due to the increasing lack of supply of fossil fuels on Earth, scientists began searching off-world for potential fuel sources. Thrasher's father was the financial backer of the Mars project. Already a wealthy man, the need for more clouded his eyes and his judgment. Thrasher grew up a spoiled child, given anything under the sun. Being one of the few children of the colony and the child of the boss, he was given free reign and an unspoken level of power.

Though the colony was greatly successful in finding a compatible fuel source, it also disrupted the unseen Mars inhabitants. One fateful day, the reptilian inhabitants known as the Xetroxus attacked the satellite station and massacred the colony, leaving less than fifty alive to be used as slaves.

Thrasher's life had been turned upside-down. His status, his wealth, and his parents were no more, and he became a lowly slave. The Xetroxus took the survivors deep within Mars where they gave each a slave number tattooed on right side of their heads, a transfusion of reptilian blood as well as fitted each with a re-breather (a.k.a. the A.I.Lung). From the transfusion each slave would have heightened adrenaline, helping them to work days on end without rest. From the re-breather each slave was now able to breath Mars air and function in outer space without need of helmets or oxygen.

Ten years pass by, and Thrasher has grown in maturity, skill and leadership. He learns all he can about the fields of mechanics and engineering, enough to sabotage a slave transport shuttle carrying himself and twenty other slaves. Taking a major risk, Thrasher leads the slaves to overthrow their captors and regain their freedom. In the heat of the battle, Thrasher takes a welding torch and cuts off a Xetroxus arm. He continues to burn the poor creature down to the bone until all that is left is a smoldering mass. His mental break occurs.

Five more years pass, Thrasher searches the galaxy for the remaining Xetroxus sect. He has not found the specific groups responsible for killing his parents and wrecking his perfect life. Still he has created quite a name for himself as a ruthless outlaw and murderer of the Xetroxus people and any allies. He has even gone as far as wearing their skins as part of his armor as well as using their bones to forge weapons. He still wears his tattoo exposed on his head as a reminder of his years as a captive and as a warning to those that oppose him.

On a dark and musty space-port, he is approached by a cloaked man who tells Thrasher that he can help him on his journey and lead him to what he wants most...revenge! The man is Zartan, and the rest is Dreadnok history.

I jumped into this GP with both feet because I had so much fun with the last one. I had no idea I would come up with customizer's cramp. I was stumped on this figure for the longest time. I kept putting it off for the longest time thinking I would get to it eventually. Finally deciding to use the Gung-Ho head, I swapped around several different bodies to find a match. When I stumble across an extra Sand Scorpion, I knew I had found what I was looking for. Close to the deadline, my wife was hospitalized for several days, and making customs were on a major back-burner. Once she came home, with a clean bill of heath, I started on him again. It seemed like everything came together in a couple of days. I hope you enjoy the outcome as much as I have creating him. Feel free to give me some feedback.
