Birthdate: April 30, 1976
Birthplace: Manchester, NH

Gilman was a student of mathematics and folklore at Miskatonic University, and had rented a room in a house rumored to have been home to one of the victims of the Salem witch trials in the late 1600s. Gilman began experiencing bizarre dreams that increased in intensity, as well as other phenomena that led him to believe he was travelling to other dimensions while in a dream-state. His subsequent research into the history of the house as well as his own experiences eventually led to the conclusion that certain physical aspects of the house's construction were designed to create angles that opened a dimensional doorway. During his time in the house, Gilman experienced nightly dream-travels and explored other planets and planes of existence. His papers on the subject brought him to the attention of Psyche-Out, and he was recruited to lend his expertise in extra-dimensional travel. He now serves as a sort of team point-man, going ahead into the gateways to ensure that the environment is survivable before the rest of the team follows. His knowledge of mathematics is also a great asset in navigation the gateways.

While none of the planets Gilman traveled to during his time in the witch house possessed atmospheric conditions that were inhospitable to human life, he has become increasingly paranoid about travelling to a place without a breathable atmosphere or other dangers. Gilman now wears a protective environment-suit when travelling through dimensional gateways. The suit's life-support system can function for several days without recharging, and its exterior is designed to repel most known biological and chemical hazards. He also carries prototype energy weapons that have proven far more effective against the creatures encountered in the void than traditional firearms.

This guy was another fun build. I had been wanting to do something with the Skydive/RoC Ripcord upper body for a while: I like the armored look of it, but the production version was just too bulky to be fun as a toy. I removed a lot of the bulk and slimmed down the jacket considerably. This is the only figure I made for the project with any significant paint applications, but the color is close enough to the base coat that hopefully it won't be noticeable when it inevitably scrapes off. The end result is fairly simple, design-wise, but I really like it.
