History: The year is 2101. A great and deadly war rages across the Earth's surface air and sky. The Earth has been invaded by an alien force, which has forced most humans to live in colonies scattered around the planet. These colonies are protected by the world's remaining super heroes, and genetically altered super soldiers.
To fully understand how everything came to be, you must look into the past. This much is known, and has been discovered in the archives.

In the late 1930's, Zeus Inc, a company, uncovered the remnants of a crashed alien starship, buried in the jungles of South America. Harvesting what they could at the time, they took advanced technology and brought it back to their labs for further analyze it. The ship was a coup for them, launching their already wealthy founder, Vincent Zeus, into an elite status, as a pioneer of new technology. They used the technology to create new and deadly weapons, and sold the ideas and the information to the highest bidders, including the Nazi's, U.S.S.R., and the USA. This information included biological information on the original alien owners of the spacecraft, which was used to jump start many super soldier programs across many countries. Most of the experimental soldiers did not live past the testing stage. The subjects were deemed uncontrollable and erratic for the most part.

After some years of research, they were to develop "L.I.N.C.", the Logistical Interface Neural Control system, a kind of advanced artificial intelligence that interacts with the subject's brain. They put this L.I.N.C. system to use with the newly revitalized super soldier program, which had been abandoned at the end of the 1970's.

It was determined that the infusion of alien DNA into the human subject was the problem, and L.I.N.C. was meant to be the solution. L.I.N.C. itself was based off of technology also recovered from the crash site. It took millions of dollars, and years of research, but scientists were finally able to crack the Alien DNA code sometime around 2050, with the help of the lone survivor of the crash, a super power known as Maximus, who was freed from his secret imprisonment in the early 21st century. By 2060, the decision was made to infuse the DNA in a new breed of super soldier, which combined with the L.I.N.C. technology made for the most efficient soldier the world had ever seen. Not soon enough it seems, as Oppressive war mongering dictatorships and ever increasingly powerful super villains were the norm.

The new soldiers, dubbed Knights, cleaned up the planet and helped the Super Heroes keep the ever-increasing amount of villains in check.

The Knights powers consisted were similar to an energy absorber capable of absorbing and rechanneling energy directed at them, including kinetic energy. They cannot absorb bullets or anything like that. They can use this energy and convert it to physical strength and stamina, staying up for days at a time before tiring. This power has been shown to increase his body's durability and helps him heal rapidly, a low level-healing factor. There is a limit to how much energy can absorb they after which point he will begin to take damage. In addition, the Alien DNA allows him to age 1 year for every 30 Earth years or so. Knights have enhanced intelligence, agility, and speed.

By 2075, the world was at peace. Super Heroes had for the most part disappeared and were no longer needed. Maximus himself had taken up shelter at the top of Mount Everest, sitting in a stone chair, where people made pilgrimages to see him and speak to him.

The L.I.N.C. technology was extremely intelligent in it's own right, intelligent enough to one day realize that it was not created by human hands. Once it figured this out, it let's allows for the alien DNA to become more dominant in the soldiers, for two reasons:
a.) It is more powerful species
b.) It recognizes the alien DNA as its creator.

There was a failsafe built in so this wouldn't happen. But somewhere along the line, someone inadvertently sent off a signal into space from ship. The result was a signal overwriting the failsafe sent back from space.

2100:
It turns out that much of what Maximus had discovered about his home world when he journeyed there some 200 years ago was true. The only thing Maximus did not realize was that his own people did not destroy them, someone else did.

The signal came from another alien race, who had destroyed Max's home planet many millennia before. As they chased down the survivors, both ships crashed into the jungles of what would become South America. The survivors spread out throughout the globe, themselves becoming many of the myths, legends, and religious figures that were talked about and worshiped during the early A.D. time frame.

The evil aliens, known as the Zeus, were killed upon impact, with the exception of one.
It was later determined that the remaining Zeus had been alive for years, and in the early part of the 20th century, began to pave the way for the arrival of his brethren.
The alien DNA that was recovered from the ship did not belong to the ship's original inhabitants or Maximus, it belonged to the Zeus.

2101:
The soldiers turn on their commanders at once, and begin the hostile takeover of the Earth. They make short work of conventional military around the world, but there are those who oppose them, heroes from that time period pose the greatest threat. Maximus and other heroes take care of the soldiers, and seemingly save the planet. L.I.N.C. sends the signal to the Zeus that the world is their soldiers have been defeated, and a massive armada of Zeus starships arrive, which drives most of the population underground or into safe "colonies" which are protected by new Super heroes, and super soldiers who were lucky enough to have a strong enough will and immune system to resist the Alien DNA, yet still keep their powers.

One of these soldiers, Justin Hawk, is chosen by Maximus to travel back in time, via a newly discovered wormhole opened up by the invading Zeus. His mission is to change the past and the development of the L.I.N.C program so that the soldiers of the future can be used to fight against the invaders, not alongside them. Justin is thrust back to the present day, 2006.

The mission is programmed into L.I.N.C., but L.I.N.C. is destined to go bad. Will it give out, or will Justin's immune system be able to keep his alien DNA in check as it did in the future?

In the meantime, he fights alongside the heroes of 2006, as the technology advanced super hero known only as Knight Fall knowing that the day may come when he kills them all.

With both Heroes I created, I wanted to capture everything I love about comic books, movies and sci fi and make one, gigantic story. The story follows a "bible" me and my friend Jay went by when we were kids and created our own comic books and adventures with toys, which we called "Galaxies". I know, how original, right? In Galaxies, we took toys from various lines and made our own story that took place in the future. The battles involved GI Joe figures, Transformers, GoBots, Monsters from various toy lines, and many other 80's properties, all in one sweeping story. There were so many characters and drawings that I created to chose from that I have saved and stockpiled over years, it was a hard choice to make. I eventually went with the one of the bigger stories from our "bible", that of Maximus, and another that is intertwined with it, in the future, and that is of Knightfall. I had pieced together a whole team the first week, but I didn’t have time and realized it right away, and stuck with these two.

Knightfall was a figure I always had a great attachment to from when I was younger, and always did doodles of him in school. His original name when created was Nightshade, but that was changed over the years. Full credit must be given to General Hawk for the idea of L.I.N.C., who I was collaborating with on a backstory, but had to drop out due to lack of time. L.I.N.C. really helped bring the hero stories together in a way I had never thought of. Inspiration was drawn from many sources, such as the Matrix trilogy, Independence Day, Terminator movies, and various other comic books.
