One of the "Original 13" Joe team members, Rock 'n' Roll is one of the oldest active soldiers on the current G.I. Joe roster. While most of his contemporaries have retired and moved on, Rock 'n' Roll felt that his place was with G.I. Joe, passing on his knowledge and experience. As the Joes head trainer, Rock 'n' Roll is responsible for testing and training all of the new Joe recruits. This is a responsibility he takes very seriously however he hasn't lost his friendly and relaxed personality. Where Beachhead was a hard-ass, Rock 'n' Roll is more of a mentor and friend to the recruits. However this fatherly role is a double-edged sword - when a recruit does well Rock 'n' Roll feels pride however when one is lost in combat the death hits him as hard as if it were his own flesh and blood. This attitude and approach endears him to the trainees and many credit him and his training with saving their lives.
