The Disney store has a line called Marvel Toybox. Which is a line with the figures being about 5.5" tall with decent articulation and cartoonish proportions. But they have a pretty nice Hulk buster figure with a flip up head, and a pretty nice Thanos.

I ordered that Hulkbuster the minute I saw it.

Of the whole Toybox line, its aesthetics are the most realistic and the articulation is incredible. Pretty much the perfect size for 4" scale figures, too.

Does anyone have any idea how the old Fantastic Four movie figures scale with 4"? Does the thing have potential to become Thanos or Cul Obsidian? Can Sue Storm become Proxima Midnight or Jonny Storm become Corvus Glaive?

Interesting idea... if I remember right the FF2 figures were more like 5" scale instead of 6". You might be on to something.
Marvelousnews database says they were 5"...

I think just use the Endgame "cheap" Thanos for Thanos. His scale matches the 4 inch figure better. The FF figures did have a 5 inch scale line which... you might be able to fudge Proxima out of a Sue Storm. For my Proxima I actually used a slightly shortened Black Cat from the 5 inch Spiderman line that came out around the time of Spiderman 3. (in the movie Proxima was only about 7 feet tall maybe)

Movie Thing may make a pretty good base for Cul Obsidian. He's more lizardy so I've looking at Killer Crock figures that might scale right.

I'm thinking this might be a good base, I picked up two on clearance but it lacks a lot of articulation

Yeah I think that might work pretty well.

Yeah I think that might work pretty well.
I've been putting extra joints in that figure on and off for a while now for a different project. It is a solid figure and will absolutely give you some realistic towering height with a regular sized head.

Would you mind sharing how you're adding joints? I haves a few ideas about how to do it but I'm curious about what methods people have actually tried.

I had a MU Wasp in my fodder that had a short pull forearm and fused wrist. Since she has all black joints I chopped up her limbs with just enough left over on either side of the knees, elbows, ankles to plug into the existing thighs/calves, bicep/forearms, high ankles/feet. Neck peg came from a Retaliation Joe trooper, but really any of the modern figures where the neck is a different piece than the torso would have worked just as well. I didn't particualrly like the black gloved hands I had so I reused the base figure's with added pegs.

This may be technically for the 6" line but will work even better with the 4" figures.

Man, if I hadn't already spent $$$ on the Haslab Razor Crest that was supposed to ship in May but didn't and that also got blown up in the show like a week after the project was backed I might consider it...

EDIT - who am I kidding? I'm such a sucker for Marvel crap - especially if it scales well with 1:18 stuff. And I DID just land a new job and my birthday's coming up, so...

lol - was thinking the same thing. I JUST sold my old Toy Biz BAF Galactus at a Toy show down in Co Springs because it was obsolete, but I've got a whole display built around the MU one. I'll need to built a bigger shelf if I get the Haslab version...

My prediction: a week after this is funded, Galactus will make his MCU debut and promptly get killed off.
