I picked up the other two Marines I lacked when I saw they were cheap on Prime. I still quite like the female Marine mold, although it's on the small/slender side for much use. The mecha-leg Avatar guy's human foot busted off within seconds but is otherwise fine.

Hiya still has some learning to do about choosing the proper plastics for the artic style they want to use. They need some harder pieces where they're too soft (and thus pieces that should articulate smoothly are instead gummy) and softer pieces where they're too hard (and thus two pieces are too loose and have no traction). Combined with how companies always seem to 'polyhedronize' the inner cylinder of injection-molded joints, many times the force needed to pop from one angle of the polyhedron is more than the strength of the plastic itself, and thus you'll get the plastic stretching or the post wobbling in its socket. I'm not sure it's a lesson they're learning.

Somebody on FB got Green Lantern and Black Canary at his LCS:

I really like Canary's looks overall. She looks like Smallville Sex Cult Chloe Whatshername. Can't wait to get mine and maybe more for customizing.

I have the Super7 ED-209, and it really is a nice figure.
But yeah, this Hiya version is just a whole other level of awesome.

I’ve read that the heads on the Injustice figures are smaller in comparison to other lines. I’m considering getting some to mix in with my modern Joes, MTF, Boss Fight, etc. Photos here don’t look too far off but that’s from a fixed perspective. Is there a noticeable size difference in hand?

Yes. But inconsistently so. female heads are all too small. Supes is ok, Flash seems ok, Red Hood ok, but others I've had of the males are also pea-headed.

That said, the torsos are really well made, and I've had a ton of fun customizing them with better heads and better legs. Some examples in my DC thread in critiques. Some of them took Marvel legs with no mods required.

I don’t plan on customizing them. They’d just be on the shelf together.

I had to send back my Black Canary because the head was packed when it was still warm the nose pressed against the plastic window and got flat! Plus one of her wrists wasn't quite right.
I just hope the 2nd one is fine.

The Injustice figures are designed around a true 3.75 scale with realistic human proportions. From this, due to the way figures get articulation added to them, they can look pudgy and doughy. Supergirl gets a lot of 'fat' hurled at her when she's actually got an Olympic gymnast's build, just a real gymnast instead of a comic book one.

Add those facts to other facts related to Hiya's skill at manufacturing the figures and you end up with figures having a lot of promise going unrealized, imho. Hiya has a lot to learn about choosing plastics and understanding how they interact to make a good action figure. A lot of their product line simply doesn't *work* well; and this carries through on the InJ line as well.

However, the bigger the figure the less Hiya's lackings come into play. The big Xeno aliens are basically NECA figures and play fine. Swamp Thing is easily the best-yet InJ figure simply due to his size encouraging better functionality. Darkseid should be great, imho. Bane, too.
