So, I'm wondering who all went to JoeFest, and what the impressions are/were?

For those that have gone to JoeFest & a GIJCC, how does it stack up?

Is it the NEW JoeCon?

I’d say the sales floor is comparable, can be the same vendors even. The toy department (the one at joe cons that had the good vintage stuff, figures on boards in the front of the booth), marauders, Roma (with boss fight stuff), casting vendors like raginspoon (avacs wasn’t there this year but level7 was).

Obviously there’s some differences, joe cons had the club hasbro exclusives and there was the lets make a deal at the club booth. Joecons had the para drops. I don’t have a lot of experience with the panels so someone else would be able to compare that.

So, to answer your question, I’d say yeah, pretty much the new joecon. Were lots of vendors and it’s joe focused.

FYI JoeCon also had venues around the country rather than just one city

Not the best family entertainment in the area but the hotel is great and the convention center is well laid out. This year we actually had a room for the Marauder event vs a curtained off hallway last year, which was nice. The lobby swap got shut down after an hour Saturday night, that was a big letdown as it was a huge crowd and lots of traders. I like it being in the same location every year instead of hopping around but Augusta isn't too far from me.

Parking threw me a little. GPS put me coming into a roundabout. Parking garages there were closed. Turned out there was a gravel lot on a different street and there was another parking garage also.

Except the west coast. The last time was '03.

Holy craps, that's you. Bought a bunch of your stuff last year and browsed your stuff a lot this year. Didn't buy because I still haven't used the stuff from last year. I'm really looking forward to the figure you have coming out.

Not sure if it was the same night as the actual wedding but there was a large wedding party coming through and most of them looked annoyed at the crowd. I was right beside the stairs trying to unload some 3d printed heads, so I caught a lot of the stink eyes.
