Every Joe #101: Cobra Slash

From 2005, here is Cobra Slash. Cobra's original ninja duo of Slice and Dice didn't both return to the toy line. Dice was gone and Slice returned, now partnered with Slash. I don't think Slash was intended as a re-named Dice, but meant to be an entirely new character.

Hasbro gave Slash a good design, which is pretty distinct among all of the ninja figures. Other than removing the suspenders, I left the design alone.

that pose is crazy good! a true super hero pose coupled with the burst background makes him pop right off the screen.

I remember Slash. A friend of mine had him back in the old elementary school days. Thanks for this reminder! He looks rad.

Thanks!

I probably could have made the waist a bit wider, but I'm pretty happy with it.

If I'm remembering right, the new Slice was just that: a new character. He had nothing to do with the previous Slice. He was more of a barbarian style swordsman which lead to a lot of people back then (myself included) calling him Hack. That way you had Slice & Dice and Hack & Slash.
Still loving your art here. Keep up the great work and have fun drawing.
