love the vision you have for the MOTU project. Going to be both awesome and distinctly yours.

Seriously great start on the MotU characters. Orko looks amazing. I agree that a little sculpting on the hood could really add something, but it's recognizable as is, even without paint.

I like where these are going a lot. These are great updates that build off the original designs.

i have been making progress on motu plus my upsizing of jason and mike. i am way behind on pics though. so naturally i started making other stuff insted of finnishing those :)

i took one pose of this custom to make sure i like the paint job on his head. i messed it up 3-4 times, but in the end i really dig it. i hate painting raw cast heads .iirc drbindy sent me the torso w/factory arms like 5-6 yrs ago. i thought maybe one day i'd be up for a comic character so i squirreled it away. also iirc someone else gifted me the head sculpt more recently and i thought too bad i have that slender punisher body it will never work. the bringing them together with a jacket and new arms just kind of hit me. legs are a snake eyes that about match. punisher is one of the only comic dudes i like and i will probably place him into my trenchcoat gang as a squad leader. i stole the longer 1911's from my now dead hitman wip. i wish one wasn't cut at the finger guard.Image

Punisher looks pretty solid. The head sculpt has that grit that the real Frank Castle would carry. Really solid. I like this figure. I don't really like Punisher in the comics or in media but I like the take here nonetheless. Paintwork of the skull on the stomach: how?

Love the punisher. Face detailing is great. Smallest of critiques - go back in with a magnifying glass and a thin toothpick, and touch up the black around his hairline.

That's a great looking Punisher.

I second drbindy about the hairline. I'd add maybe paint those legs straight black like the rest of the figure. I know the torso has blue highlights but I don't think it's necessary on the legs. Nice use of those pistols and that Hux trench.

thanks gents! i'm too scared to mess with the head! i literally had it just like it is or maybe even better. then all my paint lifted up (impatient) during a second wash. so start over then not be able to get it right a few times. i think i was using paint too thin. so this go it was strait paint mixed with the tiny brush as i went. a couple hrs later i did the hair , eyes, and brows. i liked the ragged hair line and bruised face look. already sealed it matte, but besides that i am happy with it.

the hook is from a skylander .i'm not 100% on where the wires will run so i left them a little long.
ImageImage
no idea where the claw is from.
Image
i had a few mg barrels but i think the bionicle piece makes a great looking barrel.
Image
all 3 of the attachments use lego bionicle pieces. i got a bag full way back when i started customizing and they get a lot of use.
Image
with my triclops and beastman wips. i gave up the idea of the beastman build being a dragon rider and having another beastman build for motu.
Image
triclops is the only baddy that wears the blue boots so i'm thinking he was a former grayskull royal guard that skelly corrupted.Image
i cut off the ponytail i had on beastman and sculpted over that area. i tried to bland it in wlth his faux hawk.

a bad guy group shot :)
