Gave Chewie a little weathering and made a vertical bow caster since I couldn't find any of mine.ImageImage

I've been wanting to enlarge this Loot Studios model since I first saw it. It's originally designed for 32mm tabletop gaming. I cut one for printing on my resin printer but with the shrinkage during curing, the surfaces didn't always mate as intended. After getting my feet wet with pla printing I had another go at the model. Many hours (days) of printing on 2 printers finally got me all of the pieces.

Image

After assembling, I feel I may have went a bit too big but it's okay. Whether it's a time portal or interdimensional gateway, I figure it would be built to accommodate transports as well as foot soldiers.

Image

And besides, you never know what might be found when it's powered up.

Image

Now to primer, fill the gaps, and paint.

My daughter loves the Mini Brand Collectibles that come in the overly packaged plastic balls. She gives me everything that isn't a brand product like the shopping carts and cash registers. This week's gimme was a hot pink safe.

A quick coat of black and a little rough gold pinstriping for a quick dio piece. I opted to leave the cartoonish sticker off and paint an integrated GUI. The Rock Solid Safe employees new electronic locks and traditional mechanic locks to provide dual security.

Image

Here Big Boss shows the size of the safe, as well as the plush crushed red velvet interior. Also, proves that no safe is too secure for Big Boss and his cronies.

I got that safe too. The kid was like, "Here, do something with it." So naturally it is sitting untouched on my work bench...somewhere.

Finally, I picked up an Izzy that was more properly sized for Deep Six, so I repurposed the Buzz Lightyear I originally used. I haven't really got a story for her yet, but I think she somehow fits with the Lunartix or Neutrinos. It was an afun but frustrating paintjob on the technicor suit and jer gray scale skin and hair.

B'eighn B'reighkker is another Lunartix fighter with an unknown alien liquid pulsing through his veins. Toxic to anyone else, it seems to make him stronger.

Isla Nublar, the home of Cobra La is overrun with mutations. Even the fauna and terrain has developed an appetite.

Another Loot Studios model printed in resin.

Nothing original here, but a long-time WIP that has finally been finished. Contemplated adding the Lizard tail, but I don't think the original Kraken had tails so for simplicity I opted out.

Image

The Kraken for me are divers sent to investigate the reports on the Islas De La Muerta. Swimming through the wastes subjected them to unknown mutations. The leader of the sea tribe, Captain Davy Jones, has taken them into his service.

That Kraken is awesome. You adapted some parts that don't necessarily fit easily together (I've worked with that Lizard body, too) and made them look seamless. I'm not sure how you handled the hips, but they look great. And I don't think he suffers for lack of a tail.

Also, I don't think I had seen your Big Boss figure before, but it's rad, too. Makes me wish I had picked up one of those Penguin figures when they were all over the place a year ago.

The legs are Scarlett thighs, these are the light blue pilot Scarlett, with a bit of green stuff roughly shaped and added texture with whatever scaly figure I had nearby. The Scarlett knees had the swivel knee just like the Lizard figure, no modding needed on that end.

Threw this guy together from mostly Fortnite figures after having some broken pieces. Swapped in some Spytroops Tele-Viper feet. His dive pack is from Final Faction and the cyber-shark is from the League of Legends multi pack.ImageImage
