Athena (Every Joe #258)

Athena was Brazil's recolor of Scarlett.

I took my Glenda artwork, which was a modernized take on Scarlett's uniform, and recolored it to create Athena. To make it distinct from Scarlett as much as possible, I inverted the uniform colors.

Looks nice, but I think I prefer the Black & White uniform over the Cream & Grey you have here.

that looks a lot like the corps girl .puma i think. only small bit id change is either her gloves or the guns color. right now i couldn't see her hands for a few.

Thanks. The images of the actual figures have a cream color, but many of the customs/artwork feature white. I wasn't sure if that's a collective call other customizers have made to un-Scarlett the character, or if the 40+ year old action figures have discolored to cream now.

Thanks, another good point.

Usually I have these in the can for a year if not longer, so I see them with fresh eyes before I post them, which makes it easier to find spots where better choices could have been made. In this case, though, I just pulled a quick recolor after realizing it would be an easy addition to the EJ list.

Yeah, she's white/black uniform.

I have only recently (as in today) seen the cream colored one. So I will say the cream ones are probably either Scarlett's labeled as Athena or sun yellowed ones.

Oh, that looks beautiful. Like the Storm Trooper vibe was still hanging in the air and they adapted it to a Joe shell.
