Helmet: Joy Toy "Battle for the Stars" Army Builder
The Rest: Marauders Task Force Parts
I started making Marauder Task Force customs and kitbashes shortly after the first MTF Kickstarter back in 2014. Even from the very beginning I half-heartedly tried to find a way to make this guy. It was always going to be a tongue-in-cheek build. Just something to show and for people to chuckle and think how silly it was to even bother with this character. I never could get my teeth into a good build., though. I would try every once in a while to revisit this one, but nothing ever felt right, so he stayed on the back burner for years.
Now, I'm not saying that this build feels right, of course, but I feel I have put together something that, at least, holds up. Keep in mind that this is a kitbash using only parts that I already have laying around my parts bin.
First, I dusted off a very old tactical vest that I painted years ago for an unused V1 Airborne. I also grabbed my one good Joy Toy helmet. I have been itching to use it, I think it looks really cool. I know the original figure does not have any silver on him, but I am sure I will be forgiven. I had a leftover MTF "Strato-Ops" torso and a pair of light blue cloth forearms. The Security-Ops legs that I used for this build are so old that they may be from the first Marauders Kickstarter. They do not fit any waist correctly. I guess that is why I have not used them until now. Add in a hodgepodge of blue and black accessories and I present the Star Brigade explosives expert
