The original Heli-Viper is notorious for being a very ugly figure. One of the worst of the vintage era.

I ran across a picture of him recently and it got me thinking. I wonder if I could make a version of Heli-Viper that took inspiration from the original, but that was not so ugly. As luck would have it, I had a modified Marauders Task Force Security-Ops torso lying around and also a broken (modified) Retaliation Cobra Commander backpack 'copter in the bin. So, after slapping a few coats of dark red on the tac vest and some purple around the boots, my version of this fever dream came together very quickly.
