Completely disassembled the ship and washed it down to remove the sticker labels. The 40+ year old glue remained, so that had to be sanded down to make the interior and exterior walls smooth again and ready for new paint.
A ton of time!
Railings used are original to the ship, just repainted.
The funnest part was setting up each room.
Ship is marked as the 'Alleviator", but it has been renamed the USNS W.M. Wood after the first Surgeon General of the United States Navy (William Maxwell Wood).
