As a boy Shaka Johnson learned early how to fight. Being the 4th child in a family with seven children it was always a fight. So with was no surprise to his family when he dropped out of Lincoln University to join the Army. While at Lincoln he had majored in Asian history, so upon completion of boot camp his first official posting was in Japan, working as an interpreter for the U.S troops. While there he began studying various forms of martial arts and immersing himself in the culture. On a routine mission to guard U.S. diplomat traveling to South Korea his team was attacked by guerilla soldiers claiming to be form North Korea. During the firefight Lt. Johnson was shot and wounded. However he and his team managed to keep the diplomats safe until a U.S extraction team (GI Joe) arrived. It was later revealed that the guerilla solders were actually working for Cobra. Upon awaking in a military hospital in Japan, Johnson found an envelope with his new orders in it. He was being sent back stateside to work with the extraction team that had rescued him.

For this custom I wanted to create Bronze Bomber figures as if they had been built by Hasbro. I tried to use as many ARAH parts as possible in order to make it feel as if it was part of an actual GI Joe Product line. I used Testor's Model Masters Acrylics and tried to keep the paint scheme as close to the original as possible. The parts that were selected were chosen also because they closely resembled the parts of the original knock off figure.
